INDIA MISSIONS MARCH 2026

The Vemula Family - Ministry Update

Dear Ministry Partners and Friends,

Warm greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We thank God always for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and generous support toward the work of this ministry. Your partnership reminds us that we are laboring together in the Lord’s harvest field, and because of your involvement, the Gospel continues to reach hearts and transform lives. We want to give you an update on what the Lord has been doing through all of us in India. The year 2025 has been a year of mixed emotions. It has included many wonderful works of God, while at the same time we have walked through some deeply disappointing and painful situations. We have witnessed increasing reports of Christian persecution, the loss of innocent believers, the tearing down of churches, denial of permissions for church construction, and even the wrongful imprisonment of pastors. Yet, in the midst of these trials, the Church in India is being refined. New souls are coming to Christ and are being baptized. Believers are sensing God’s call to ministry, and many are stepping forward in faith to serve Him. Our prayer life has deepened, and our faith is growing stronger even in the middle of chaos. We praise God for His abundant grace, for the hope that sustains us, and for the privilege of being used for His Kingdom in such a time as this. We are grateful to stand together with you in this work, trusting the Lord who continues to build His Church.

Bible College Graduation

We thank God for another blessed year of training and equipping His servants. In 2025, a total of 40 students successfully completed their studies and graduated from our Bible college. Over the past four years, 397 students have graduated from this training program. During their time of study, these men and women were equipped to preach the Gospel, plant churches, and defend the Christian faith with clarity and conviction. They were grounded in the ten major foundational doctrines of the Bible, received in-depth biblical teaching, and underwent practical ministry training to prepare them for the work to which God has called them. Today, they are faithfully serving the Lord in various states across India, ministering according to their calling and capacity.

A Life Transformed by the Gospel

Story about Narsimlu

Narsimlu joined our Bible college last year, having come to faith in Jesus Christ only three years ago. His testimony is a powerful witness to the transforming grace of God. For 22 years, he had been an active member of a well-known anti-Christian Hindu radical group.

During that time, he was directly involved in efforts to oppose the spread of Christianity in India. In his own words, he shared with us how such groups would plan and organize actions intended to intimidate believers and disrupt Christian ministry.

He personally took part in creating hardship and unrest for Christian families in and around his village often targeting the

local pastor’s family in an attempt to discourage their faith and ministry. The turning point came through a deeply personal crisis. His wife became terribly sick with a rare disease, and despite seeking help from doctors and treatments, nothing improved her condition. After hearing reports that people were being healed during Christian prayer meetings, he secretly took his wife to a church nearly 200 kilometers away from their village. He did this in fear, not wanting his friends or the organization to discover where he had gone. By God’s grace, she began to recover. Within a few months, her health noticeably improved.

This experience began to change their hearts and their perception of Christianity. From that time forward, he was no longer willing to participate in activities that involved persecuting Christians. Over the next two years, as he continued to seek the truth and understand the Gospel, he surrendered his life fully to Christ and completely separated himself from the radical group. When he later heard about our Bible college program, he enrolled to be trained in God’s Word.

Today, he has graduated and senses a clear calling from the Lord to return to his own village, plant a church, and share the Gospel even with those who once worked alongside him in opposition to Christianity. Please remember Narsimlu in your prayers, that God will strengthen, protect, and use him as a bold witness of Christ’s saving power.

A Joyful Step into Ministry: The Ordination Service

Following our Graduation Service, we held a blessed Ordination Service, a meaningful occasion in the life of our ministry. Although four candidates were prepared for ordination, one was unable to attend the service. Nevertheless, it was a deeply joyful and solemn time as we set apart those present for the work of the Lord. The gathering was marked by thanksgiving and prayer, and all the pastors who had attended the Pastors Conference joined in laying hands on the Ordinands and anointing them with oil.

It was a powerful moment of unity and a renewed sense of commitment to God’s calling, as family, friends, and church members witnessed and celebrated this significant step in their spiritual journey. We humbly request you to remember these servants of God in your prayers as they begin this new season of ministry.

Pressing On in Faith: Bible Training Thrives Amid Persecution

                                                  Branch # 1

                                                  Branch # 2

                                                   Branch # 3

This year, we are conducting classes across three branches located in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with 78 new students enrolled in our Bible training program. In light of the growing opposition and increasing persecution of Christians in India, we were uncertain whether it would be possible to continue the program at this scale. Yet, the Lord has once again demonstrated that He is sovereign and faithful. Despite challenges, He has opened doors, provided students, and sustained the work in ways we did not expect. This encourages us to move forward with confidence, knowing that God Himself is building His Church.

A New Beginning: Muslim Background Believers Join Our Bible College

This year, we are grateful to share that seven new believers from Muslim backgrounds have joined one of our Bible college branches. Their decision to follow Christ is both courageous and deeply inspiring, and it is a powerful testimony to God’s saving grace at work.

I had the privilege of spending more than an hour with them, listening to their personal conversion testimonies and hearing how the Lord has been moving in their hearts and lives. Each story reflected God’s faithfulness—how He revealed Himself to them, drew them through various circumstances, and gave them the boldness to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior despite the challenges they may face.

It was especially encouraging to see their hunger for God’s Word and their passion to grow in their faith through biblical training. They have not only come to know Christ, but they also carry a strong desire to share the Gospel within their own communities. Their vision is to reach their people with the love and truth of Christ and to see churches planted among them.

Please keep these seven new believers in your prayers. Pray for their spiritual growth, protection, wisdom, and strength. Pray also for their families, that God would work in their hearts and bring peace, understanding, and salvation. May the Lord use these faithful servants mightily to shine His light and establish His Church in places where the Gospel is still greatly needed.

                           Free Bible Distribution

As with every year, this year also we were truly blessed to host a wonderful Pastors’ Conference, bringing together 32 dedicated pastors for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. It was a meaningful gathering filled with prayer, teaching, and unity, as these leaders were strengthened and refreshed in their calling to serve and shepherd their communities.

A significant part of the conference was equipping the pastors with God’s Word to support their evangelistic outreach. Each pastor received 25 Telugu Bibles to distribute within their ministry areas. In total, we provided 800 Bibles to these pastors so they can place them directly into the hands of individuals and families as they share the Good News.

The need for Scripture in the local language remains vital. Many people are eager to read and understand the Bible in Telugu, the language closest to their hearts. When people receive a Bible in their own language, it opens the door for personal understanding, deeper faith, and lasting spiritual growth. For many, this is their first opportunity to own a Bible, making it a life-changing gift.

We believe that as these 800 Bibles are prayerfully distributed, they will touch countless lives. As the pastors faithfully proclaim the Gospel, God’s Word will continue to bring hope, transformation, and salvation to many communities.

We thank God for the privilege of organizing this conference each year and trust that the seeds sown through both the teaching and the distribution of Scripture will bear lasting fruit for His Kingdom.

                                  Baptisms

This year has been especially joyful for our church as we celebrated a beautiful baptism service. In total, we had 10 baptisms, and each one was a young person boldly declaring their faith in Jesus Christ.

It was incredibly encouraging to see so many young hearts choosing to accept Christ as their Savior and publicly affirming their commitment to follow Him. In a time when many young people face confusion and pressure from the world around them, witnessing their decision to stand firm in faith was both inspiring and deeply moving.

Each baptism was a powerful testimony of God’s transforming grace at work. These young believers have not only accepted Christ but have also taken the important step of publicly professing their faith before the church family. Their decision reflects a new beginning — a life committed to growing in Christ, serving others, and walking in obedience to His Word.

We rejoice in what God is doing among the next generation. We pray that these 10 young people will continue to grow strong in their faith, become shining lights in their families and communities, and boldly share the hope of Christ with others. This is a reminder that God is faithfully raising up a new generation that loves Him and is ready to serve His Kingdom.

Prayer Requests

  1. Pray for Our Family

Please uphold our family in your prayers as we serve faithfully in challenging times. Pray for God’s protection, strength, and unity for us so we may continue to shepherd His flock with wisdom and love.

  1. Pray for Increasing Persecutions in India

Persecution against Christians in India is rising sharply, with daily attacks and growing hostility. Pray for courage and resilience for our brothers and sisters facing violence, intimidation, and social ostracism. May God’s peace and justice prevail, and the Gospel advance even in the midst of trials.

  1. Jesus Water Wells

We have received 34 requests for water wells in poor communities where clean drinking water is scarce, but we currently have funds for only 24, leaving 10 still in great need. With the intense summer approaching, many will face dangerous heat, dehydration, and even loss of life without safe water. Providing these wells is both a practical help and a powerful way to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ. We are prayerfully seeking partners who can share this need with their congregations, pray with us, and consider sponsoring a well as the Lord leads.

  1. Pray for the Church/Function Hall

Construction of our Church/Function Hall began two years ago with great hope and vision. However, due to a financial shortage, the work has come to a standstill. We humbly request your prayers and generous support to help us complete this much-needed facility. With your partnership, we believe this project can be finished and become a blessing to our church and the wider community.

  1. Pray for Financial Support

We are still in need of 300 shares, with each share costing $10 per month. We humbly ask you to pray that God will move the hearts of generous partners to join us in this vital ministry. Your faithful support helps sustain and expand our work, enabling us to reach more lives with the gospel, provide essential resources, and grow God’s kingdom. Together, we can invest in an eternal harvest, bringing hope, healing, and transformation to many. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership as we advance this ministry. Please pray for God to raise generous partners who will join us in sowing into these vital ministries.

With love and gratitude in Christ,
