1 Corinthians 3:6 says, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” That scripture sums up what has happened at Faith Home over the years. Missionaries, teams, and even children come and go, but God has remained faithful and continues to grow the ministry.
In recent months, we have seen God move through busy times with teams and activities on campus. In all the activity, God was reminding us of why we do what we do. Our summer teams worked in communities with a women’s conference, medical team, mobile medical clinics, food distributions, and VBS in churches, often meeting adult alumni who exemplify Faith Home's impact. One of the greatest blessings of the summer was witnessing 26-year-old Josue come forward to rededicate his life to the Lord during a church service in San Manuel. Many prayers go out for our children and alumni, and it is not in vain, as God is still working on their stories. Recently, one of our alumni had an accident and was immediately surrounded by other alumni who coordinated with us to make sure he got the care he needed. They are family, bonded forever with the love they experienced at Faith Home.
Another vision (seed planted) for Faith Home is coming to fruition, with our national staff, who ensure the ministry runs smoothly during missionaries' absences. They are the heart of the ministry and an answer to prayers for faithful, Godly men and women to lead in each area of the ministry. Idania, our psychologist, oversees the daily care of the children and compliance with child services. Pastor Miguel gives spiritual guidance for both staff and children, in addition to his responsibilities to the churches outside. Mauricio maintains the facilities and grounds, runs errands, and is also a spiritual mentor to our teens and the youth of our churches. Dr. Sharon ensures the health of our children while also serving patients from local communities and churches. Mr. Eder coordinates all the educational needs of the children and helps them with their homework. The house parents instill the love of God in every part of the children’s day-to-day lives through prayer and devotions, as well as nightly church services. God has truly brought together a team to take care of our children and reach their hearts with his love.
Whether you are a supporter, prayer partner, or visited on a team, please know that you have been an important part of planting the seeds in the Ministry of Faith Home. Thank you!
