The Vemula Family - 2025 Year End Update

Christmas - A Season of Harvest in India

Dear Ministry Partners,

Christmas in India is a season of great joy and anticipation. It is not only a time of celebration but also a precious opportunity to share the message of hope found in Jesus Christ with those who have not yet heard it.

At our church, as in many others across the General Baptist Association, we look forward to welcoming new faces during this festive season. Every year, our church family enjoys a special Christmas meal where members and newcomers fellowship together. It has become a beautiful occasion for outreach and connection.

For the past five years, all our churches have made it a tradition to give every visitor a copy of the Bible as a Christmas gift. We believe there is no greater gift than the Word of God, it alone has the power to transform lives and lead people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

In preparation for this outreach, we will be hosting our ‘Pastors’ Conference’ in the first week of December. This gathering will bring together 24 pastors from our association, along with graduates from our Bible college who are now faithfully serving and leading churches. We are expecting about 40 pastors this year. Each of them will receive 20 Telugu Bibles to distribute during the Christmas season.

We have placed an order for 800 Bibles, which should arrive by mid-November. Each Bible costs $5. Our long-term vision is to provide every pastor with 100 Bibles for ongoing distribution, ensuring that the gospel continues to spread to every corner of our region. Please pray that every Bible given this Christmas will find its way into the hands of someone whose heart is ready to receive Christ.

Bible College Ministry

Our Bible College ministry continues to grow and flourish by God’s grace. The students are completing their syllabus and will finish classes by mid-November. Their dedication and desire to serve the Lord have been truly inspiring. Graduation is scheduled for December 3rd, and the excitement among the students is palpable.

Please pray that as they approach this milestone, the Lord will speak personally to each of them confirming His call on their lives and filling them with courage and conviction to step into the ministry fields that await them. We believe God is raising a new generation of humble, faithful servants who will carry His light into the darkest corners of our land.

Ordination Service

Following the graduation ceremony, we will hold a special ordination service for those whom God has called and proven for pastoral ministry. The final number of ordinands will be announced by the end of this month. This will be a sacred time of prayer, commitment, and commissioning as these faithful men dedicate their lives fully to shepherding God’s people.

We are trusting God to anoint and empower each new pastor with the fullness of His Spirit to preach the truth boldly and lead with compassion. Please join us in interceding for them, that their ministries will be fruitful and that many will come to Christ through their obedience.

Thank you, dear friends, for standing with us through your prayers and support. Your partnership enables us to keep training leaders, strengthening churches, and reaching the unreached with the gospel.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Our Family

Please uphold our family in your prayers as we serve faithfully in challenging times. Pray for God’s protection, strength, and unity for us so we may continue to shepherd His flock with wisdom and love.

  • Pray for Increasing Persecutions in India

Persecution against Christians in India is rising sharply, with daily attacks and growing hostility. Pray for courage and resilience for our brothers and sisters facing violence, intimidation, and social ostracism. May God’s peace and justice prevail, and the Gospel advance even in the midst of trials.

  • Pray for Graduates and Ordinands

Our Bible college students are nearing graduation and many will be ordained soon. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will empower them, confirm their calling, and equip them fully for the harvest fields ahead. May they be bold, compassionate leaders who faithfully shepherd God’s people.

  • Pray for the Pastors Conference, Graduation, and Ordination Service

This important season of equipping and commissioning pastors is a significant milestone. Pray for smooth planning, spiritual refreshment, and deep unity among all who attend. May these gatherings spur revival and effective outreach in our churches.

  • Pray for Specific Ministries

Please pray for the ongoing success and protection of the Jesus Water Wells ministry, our Bible College ministry, and the Free Medical Camps. May these ministries not only meet physical needs but also open many hearts to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

  • Pray for Financial Support

We are still in need of 300 shares, with each share costing $10 per month. We humbly ask you to pray that God will move the hearts of generous partners to join us in this vital ministry. Your faithful support helps sustain and expand our work, enabling us to reach more lives with the gospel, provide essential resources, and grow God’s kingdom. Together, we can invest in an eternal harvest, bringing hope, healing, and transformation to many. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership as we advance this ministry Please pray for God to raise generous partners who will join us in sowing into these vital ministries.
