The Brantley's Journey To Service

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7

Hafa Adai from Guam. In the last newsletter we shared that two young ladies, Mayian and TaeLynn had accepted Christ as their Savior. Well, this newsletter we are excited to share that we have had four more young girls accept Christ. Myleen (Mayian's sister), Tamaya (TaeLynn's sister), Kendall and Edrianna have all made a profession of faith. There is surely rejoicing in Heaven. We are so happy to see the growth and spiritual maturity that has been developing in the young people of Agat. God is shaping a generation to come. Please be in pray for these girls as they embark on their Christian journey. On November 24th they will be baptized as part of our Thanksgiving service.

Baptism Sunday September 8, 2024

On September 8th, Peter and his sister Janelle, Machu and his sister Mayian, Jenaizah and her mom Jenn (not pictured), Taelynn and her mom Tina, and Joseph were all baptized. We are so proud of them and the decision they have made. Please be in prayer for them and for the church to continue to disciple them as they grow in their faith. We have begun weekly discipleship meetings for the new believers in the church. It is going well and helping to encourage the other members to become more active in the mentoring process.

Patrnership with Be Heartfelt

Agat Community Church has been blessed to be able to partner with Be Heartfelt, a non-profit organization that helps the children of Guam with meals, shoes, and school supplies. Lori Marsh was visiting Guam recently and stopped by with our first food donations for our Be Heartfelt pantry. Oceanview Middle School in Agat (just up the street from the church) is our first partnering school. Permission slips have been signed for four children to participate in the program. We were able to do our first meal pack this week! The goal is to have ten children at each school that are at highest risk of not having enough food to get through the weekend. Lori will continue to work with the school social workers to get children signed up. Our Wednesday night bible study group packs the bags before bible study. Then the social worker picks them up on Thursday morning. On Friday, they are placed in the child's backpack for the weekend. We are blessed to be part of this ministry.

Mini-Truck Ministry

This poor little truck has hauled so much food. We even had to have a couple of the hinges rewelded from taking the sides up and down so much! Never would we have thought when Jeremiah bought this little thing it would have been used for so much good. It has hauled off tons (literally) of green waste after the typhoon, Schuyler uses it each week to drive around and pick up trash from a few of the local manamkos (elderly) that do not have trash pick up, helped several families move, and then ALL of the food donations we have received. It has definitely earned its keep.

Allie--soldier or Marine?!?!?!?

Allie was a part of her friends swearing in ceremony. He recently joined the Marine Corps. We have been telling you that Allie was considering the military for a while now. She took her ASVAB about a week ago and scored an 83 on it. That is a really good score. Since she is only 17 years old, Schuyler and I both have to sign for her to join, which we are ok with. But we have had her talk with all of the recruiters before making a decision. She had her mind set on the Marine Corps. However, today when we talked to the Army recruiter, he may have swayed her thinking. She scored high enough to qualify for just about any job she wants. He was talking to her about being a linguist and being airborne. That got her attention. She has another appointment scheduled with the Marine Corps and she is going to be asking more specific questions about job availability there. Please keep her (and us) in prayer as she makes this life altering decision.

Jeremiah--our fly boy

Jeremiah is in the air more that he is on the ground most days. He recently made another trip up to Pagan for a training flight with a student and to take some supplies to the families that live there. They typically only get supplies every 6-8 weeks. He took them some spam, chips, gum, chocolate and some drinks. As a thank you, he received the necklace in the third picture. It is made from hog tusks. It is something he will treasure from his time here. There isn't an official runway on Pagan. In the second photo you can see the ruts in the grass and the gentleman on the ground guiding him in. Pagan is also an active volcano site. In the fourth photo, that is smoke and ash coming up from the volcano, not a cloud. Serving in Guam has afforded Jeremiah some unforgettable experiences. Speaking of which, there may be something new on the horizon for him. Please be in prayer.

We are so thankful to all who have continued to support us on this journey through deputation support, project funds or prayer support. We would not be able to do any of the work that has been done here without God blessing the work and people being willing to support and send us. We pray daily that we are constantly found doing God's will.

Please follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram. We love staying in touch with you all. If you have any prayer requests, please let us know. We would be honored to pray with you and for you.

Thank you again for your kind and loving support.

Thank you and God Bless,

Cathy, Schuyler, Jeremiah and Allie Brantley
