A Trustee for a church plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the church's property, finances, and legal affairs, ensuring that the church's assets are used effectively to support its mission and ministry. The specific duties of a Trustee can vary, but generally include the following responsibilities:

Asset Management:  Trustees endeavor to manage the church's physicial and financial assets, overseeing the maintenance, insurance, and usage of church property, buildings, and equipment to ensure they are in good condition and adequately serve the needs of the congregation.

Strategic Planning:  Working with other church leaders, Trustees participate in strategic planning to set long-term goals for the church's growth, development, and mission outreach.

Advisory Role:  Trustees strive to represent the church in external affairs, building relationships with the community, and other organizations.

Resource Development:  Trustees may help to develop other resources necessary for the church to fulfill its mission by overseeing capital campaigns or exploring new revenue streams.

Serving as a Trustee requires a commitment to the church's mission. Trustees must work collaboratively with other church leaders, be able to make informed decisions, and uphold the highest ethical standards in their stewardship of the church's resources.
